Navy Mutual continues to support that mission today by providing exceptional life insurance and annuity products, assisting sea service members and their survivors in securing the federal benefit to which they are legally entitled, and providing education on matters of financial security which are specifically tailored to the military member and family.
Navy Mutual is a nonprofit, federally tax-exempt, mutual benefit Veterans Service Organization which was established in 1879 by sea service members for the purpose of providing financial protection to the sea service member and family.

Giving Back to the Community We Serve- Terminal Illness Options Counseling - Terminal illness counseling is provided without charge or obligation to sea service families (regardless of membership) when the active duty military member is diagnosed with a terminal illness. We present the financial consequences to the surviving family of death on active duty versus death in a retired status, and an explanation of various benefit election options available under both scenarios.
- Helping Sea Service Families In Need- Ever mindful of our stewardship of the funds you have entrusted to us, we share your blessings by helping sea services members and their families in times of need by contributing to the Toys for Tots Program and the Navy-Marine Corps Relief Society on an annual basis.
